Suncor Global Head of Risk Management to Leave Company

Ray Sick, the global head of market and trade risk management for the major producer Suncor Energy Inc., is reportedly preparing to exit the firm. According to sources familiar with the matter, the executive will depart after a tenure lasting nearly six years with the Calgary-based company in Canada. Sick has served in his current leadership capacity since February 2023. During his time in this role, he oversaw risk management for a diverse portfolio including crude oil, refined products, chemicals, power, natural gas, and environmental credits. He operated out of Houston, located in the United States. Prior to his most recent appointment, Sick held the position of director of global crude and products risk. Suncor Energy has not yet issued an official statement regarding the leadership change, and Sick did not immediately provide a comment on his departure.
