Star Entertainment Narrows First-Half Loss to A$75.7M
Australia's Star Entertainment reported a smaller first-half loss of A$75.7 million today. Performance improved due to stronger trading volumes in late 2025.
Australia's second-largest casino operator, The Star Entertainment Group Limited, has reported a narrowed loss for the first half of the fiscal year, supported by an uptick in trading activity. The company announced a normalised loss of A$75.7 million ($53.86 million) for the six months ended December 31, which represents a significant reduction from the A$136 million loss recorded during the same period last year. The improved financial results were primarily attributed to seasonally stronger trading volumes observed during the second quarter of fiscal 2026. The company continues to focus on its operational recovery following a period of fiscal volatility.
