The unemployment rate in Spain edged higher during the first quarter of the year, reaching 10.83% according to the latest data released by the National Statistics Institute (INE) on Tuesday. While the figure represents an uptick from the previous quarter, it marks the lowest jobless rate recorded for a first-quarter period since 2008.
