South Korea orders emergency aid amid high oil prices
President Lee Jae Myung warned that Middle East tensions will keep energy prices high. He ordered a quick budget rollout and new supply chain strategies.
President Lee Jae Myung of South Korea has issued a warning regarding the escalating tensions in the Middle East, specifically surrounding the Strait of Hormuz. During a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the President noted that the ongoing conflict involving Iran makes it difficult to remain optimistic about the global economic outlook. He cautioned that the international community should prepare for a sustained period of high energy costs and supply chain disruptions.
The administration is closely monitoring the impact on global benchmarks, including Brent Crude Oil and West Texas Oil, as volatility remains a primary concern for the nation's energy security.
