Singapore has introduced a comprehensive support package valued at approximately S$1 billion ($780 million) to help citizens and businesses navigate the economic volatility caused by the conflict in the Middle East. Senior Minister of State for Finance Jeffrey Siow announced the measures on Tuesday, noting that the package is designed to mitigate rising energy costs linked to the war in Iran.
"We do not know how long the conflict and its economic impact will last, but the government is alive to the situation," Siow said.
