Sierra Leone has officially entered into a petroleum license agreement with the Nigeria-based firm Marginal Energy Limited, marking a significant step in the West African nation's efforts to revitalize its upstream energy sector. The agreement, signed through the Petroleum Directorate of Sierra Leone (PDSL), grants exploration and production rights for five offshore blocks: G-145, G-146, G-147, G-160, and G-161. Together, these blocks encompass approximately 6,800 square kilometers of the country's frontier basin.
