Clinical-stage biotechnology firm Seaport Therapeutics announced on Monday its plans to achieve a valuation of $912 million through an initial public offering in the United States. The Boston-based developer, which focuses on neuropsychiatric treatments, intends to raise approximately $212.4 million by offering 11.8 million shares. The expected price range for the offering is set between $16 and $18 per share.
This move comes as the American IPO market shows signs of renewed vigor. Improved investor sentiment and a heightened appetite for risk have encouraged several firms to pursue public listings, even amidst ongoing geopolitical concerns. Recent market activity includes a filing from investment advisory firm Lincoln International and the successful market debut of nuclear reactor manufacturer X-Energy.
