South Korea battery manufacturer SAMSUNG SDI CO LTD has announced a multi-year agreement with MERCEDES-BENZ GROUP AG to supply batteries for electric vehicles. This partnership represents the first direct EV battery supply contract between the two companies. The batteries will feature high-nickel NCM (nickel, cobalt, and manganese) chemistry, designed to power the next generation of electric vehicles.
