Rivas, who lives in Hollister with his wife and daughter, is seeking to maintain his seat representing nearly 500,000 residents across the Central Coast.
### Rivas Maintains Stronghold on Central Coast Rivas currently oversees the chamber as Speaker, a role he assumed from Anthony Rendon. Before his 2018 election to the Assembly, Rivas served two terms on the San Benito County Board of Supervisors. His district includes Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties.
