RHEINMETALL AG will invest €270 million ($314.31 million) to expand tank production and build a logistics centre in Germany, Chief Executive Armin Papperger said on Thursday morning. The funding transforms the central city of Kassel into Europe's largest tank manufacturing hub. The expansion comes as European defense contractors scale up output amid rising security demands.
