Revolut injected 64 million dollars into its Mexican unit to support growth. The digital bank now has over 290,000 registered users in the country.
Revolut injected $64 million into its Mexico operations during late April to accelerate growth in Latin America’s second-largest economy. This capital boost brings the digital bank's total investment in the country to $167 million. The move signals an aggressive push into the Mexican fintech market just months after the firm's public launch.
### Scaling Capital for Latin American Expansion The United Kingdom-based digital bank formalized the investment through a 1.12 billion Mexican peso increase to its basic capital. Revolut reported that its total assets surged 275% in the first quarter, according to company data released nine weeks after its launch. The bank reached over 290,000 registered customers on its local app by late March.
