RBI Keeps Standing Deposit Facility Rate at 5 Percent
The Reserve Bank of India held its standing deposit facility rate at 5 percent during Friday's monetary policy committee meeting. This decision follows a series of adjustments since April 2022 as the central bank maintains a neutral policy stance.
The Reserve Bank of India held its key repo rate unchanged at 5.25% on June 5. The six-member Monetary Policy Committee also maintained the standing deposit facility (SDF) rate at 5% while keeping a neutral policy stance. This decision aligns with market expectations as the central bank prioritizes price stability.
