Prudential annual new business profit rises 12 percent

Prudential plc has reported a 12% increase in its annual new business profit, driven by resilient momentum across its key markets in Asia and Africa. The insurer announced that its new business profit on a traditional embedded value (TEV) basis reached $2.78 billion for the fiscal year ended December 31, compared to $2.46 billion in fiscal 2024. This growth reflects a 12% rise when calculated on a constant exchange rate basis.

The company, which maintains a dual-listing in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, benefited from strong performance in its international operations. The results highlight the firm's continued focus on high-growth regions, which have maintained their momentum despite broader market conditions.
