ProSieben core profit drops 28 percent amid weak ad market
ProSiebenSat.1 reported a 28 percent drop in 2025 core profit to 403 million euros as ad revenues fell. Shares rose on forecasts for modest growth during 2026.
ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE reported a 28% decline in its adjusted core profit for 2025, primarily attributed to a weak advertising market in Germany. The media group announced that its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) fell to 403 million euros, missing its own guidance range of 420 million to 450 million euros.
Despite the earnings drop, the company's shares rose by more than 6% on Thursday. Market observers suggested the increase was likely a technical recovery or a reaction to the group's outlook for slight revenue growth in the coming year. Harald Hof, an analyst at mwb research, provided context on the stock's performance.
