Premier Energies targets US and European solar markets as global buyers move away from China
Premier Energies is targeting US and European markets as buyers diversify from China. The firm is also working to replace silver with copper in its cells.
Premier Energies announced today, February 20, 2026, that it will shift from a domestically focused order book to targeting exports to buyers in Europe and the United States
US. The company cited Western buyers' efforts to diversify supply chains away from China
CN and evolving procurement rules as the primary drivers for this change. This development aligns with a broader shift in the Indian
IN solar equipment sector as international firms face tariff issues and seek alternatives to traditional suppliers.
The company noted that certain European tenders now exclude Chinese products, providing an opening for other manufacturers. While Premier Energies is currently fully booked for domestic orders for the next 12 to 18 months, it plans to tap into these overseas markets as its new production capacity comes online.
