Donald Tusk Demands Polish Role in Ukraine Peace Talks
Donald Tusk says Poland will not be bound by Ukraine peace deals made without its participation. He is cautious about Western efforts to open talks with Russia.
Poland Prime Minister Donald Tusk demanded his country be included in Ukraine peace talks after being excluded from a London summit that proposed direct dialogue with Russia. The meeting between leaders from the United Kingdom, Germany, and France on Tuesday follows Poland's emergence as one of NATO's top defense spenders during the four-year conflict. Tusk stated that any diplomatic arrangements made without Polish participation will not be binding on Warsaw.
