On The Beach halts profit outlook amid regional conflict
British holiday provider On The Beach Group suspended its annual profit outlook on Thursday. The firm cited falling demand for destinations near the Middle East.
On the Beach Group plc, a major travel provider in the United Kingdom, has suspended its annual profit outlook amid rising geopolitical tensions. The company reported a significant drop in holiday demand following military strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran late last month. This instability has directly impacted travel interest in several key markets, including Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, and Egypt. Prior to this announcement, the firm had anticipated an annual adjusted pretax profit between 39 million pounds and 43 million pounds. However, the London-listed group stated that the current volatility makes future performance difficult to predict. > The timing of when the conflict will end and the shape of recovery in demand to these destinations are unknown.
