NEXTDC raises $1.07 billion for Sydney data centre rollout
The firm plans to raise 1.07 billion dollars to speed up its Sydney S4 facility. Contracted capacity rose sixty percent since December to 667 megawatts.
NEXTDC LTD has announced a major capital initiative to raise A$1.5 billion ($1.07 billion) aimed at accelerating the rollout of its S4 data centre in Australia. The funding is intended to align the project with initial delivery timelines as the company seeks to capitalize on growing infrastructure needs.
The entitlement offer provides existing shareholders the opportunity to acquire new shares at a price of A$12.70 each. This offer is structured at a ratio of roughly one new share for every 5.4 shares currently owned. Support for the expansion includes a significant commitment from Canada through La Caisse, which has pledged an additional A$700 million following an initial A$1 billion commitment earlier this month.
