According to data released by New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, the average bonus climbed 6% to $246,900. The growth comes as dealmakers, traders, and wealth managers benefited from strong trading activity and underwriting fees, despite a year characterized by geopolitical uncertainty and the impact of tariffs on global markets.
