NASDAQ INC reported a significant increase in its first-quarter profit on Thursday, driven by a surge in trading volumes as investors navigated a volatile macroeconomic landscape. The exchange operator, headquartered in the United States, saw its net income rise to $519 million, or 91 cents per share, for the period ending March 31. This marks a substantial jump from the $395 million, or 68 cents per share, recorded during the same timeframe the previous year.
