Moroccan inflation accelerates to 1.7 percent in April

### Fuel Costs Drive Non-Food Price Surge Transport prices rose 8.4% following a surge in fuel prices linked to Middle East instability. This spike pushed non-food prices up 2.5% year-on-year, while food prices grew 0.6% over the same period. Core inflation, which strips out volatile goods and regulated prices, fell 0.3% year-on-year but edged up 0.1% from March.
