Monster Beverage Beats Quarterly Sales and Profit Estimates
Monster Beverage reported quarterly sales of 2.13 billion dollars as energy drink demand stayed firm. Adjusted profit reached 51 cents per share for the period.
Monster Beverage Corporation reported fourth-quarter financial results that exceeded analyst estimates, buoyed by consistent demand for its energy drink products. The company announced that net sales rose 17.6% to $2.13 billion for the quarter ended December 31, surpassing the $2.04 billion expected by analysts. Adjusted profit for the period reached 51 cents per share, ahead of the 48 cents projected by the market. Growth was largely centered in the Monster Energy Drinks segment, which saw an 18.9% increase in sales to $1.99 billion. This performance helped mitigate a 16.8% decline in the alcohol brands segment, which fell to $29 million. Gross margins improved to 55.5% from 55.3% a year earlier, as the company utilized pricing strategies and supply-chain efficiencies to counter higher aluminum costs. While CEO Hilton Schlosberg stated that current tariffs are not expected to have a material impact on operating results, he noted that the company anticipates a modest rise in costs during the first half of 2026. > We will continue to recognize tariffs on aluminum through the higher Midwest premium and continue to implement hedging strategies across the business where possible. Following the announcement, shares of the company fell approximately 2% in extended trading.
