MODERNA INC reported that its mRNA seasonal flu vaccine was 26.6% more effective than a standard shot in a late-stage trial of 40,000 adults aged 50 and older. The study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, follows an initial FDA rejection in February. The vaccine is under review for potential approval as the first mRNA-based seasonal flu shot in the United States.
