Mistral AI buys Emmi AI to bolster industrial offerings
The French artificial intelligence firm Mistral AI has acquired Linz-based Emmi AI to enhance its offerings for industrial clients in sectors like aerospace and automotive. The deal integrates physics-based models into Mistral's systems to improve simulation accuracy for manufacturing tasks.
Mistral AI acquired Linz-based Emmi AI on Tuesday to expand its industrial artificial intelligence capabilities. Emmi AI raised 15 million euros in Austria's largest funding round in 2025 and specializes in physics-based models for complex engineering tasks. The acquisition strengthens Mistral's push to serve European manufacturers in aerospace, automotive, and semiconductors.
