MBDA Spends 1 Billion Euros to Boost Missile Production
MBDA spent 1 billion euros on weapon stocks to meet surging demand. CEO Eric Beranger noted that the Iran crisis is driving the need for faster production.
European missile manufacturer MBDA has committed 1 billion euros ($1.16 billion) toward production efforts ahead of signed contracts to address surging global demand. The company is pivoting its operational model to build up inventories of critical weaponry, specifically focusing on air defense systems.

Speaking in Paris, CEO Eric Beranger explained that the firm has transitioned from its traditional approach of waiting for firm orders before starting production. This strategic shift is designed to ensure that the most sought-after weapons are available as geopolitical pressures mount.
The ongoing crisis involving Iran has further intensified the urgency for rapid military procurement and industrial readiness. Beranger noted that the organization is currently evaluating additional opportunities to expand its capacity, stating:
