Capital A Appoints Deputy CEO and Plans Hong Kong Listing
Capital A named Effendy Shahul Hamid as deputy CEO. The firm eyes a Hong Kong listing by August as it prepares to exit its current financial distress status.
Malaysia-based investment holding group CAPITAL B has appointed a veteran banker as its new deputy chief executive to lead its next phase of corporate expansion. Effendy Shahul Hamid, formerly the head of consumer and digital banking at CIMB Group, will help spearhead growth following the group's divestment of its aviation assets. The move comes as the company explores a dual listing in Hong Kong by mid-year.
Chief Executive Officer Tony Fernandes confirmed that the company has already engaged financial advisors to facilitate the listing process, which is expected to conclude in the coming months.
