Crude oil prices climb as Kazakhstan output halt offsets tariff risks and inventory builds

Crude prices climbed on Wednesday as a major supply disruption in Kazakhstan offset concerns regarding rising U.S. stockpiles and new geopolitical tensions.

洞察:
Brent Crude Oil futures gained 11 cents or 0.2% to reach $65.03 a barrel as of 1343 GMT on January 21, 2026. On the same date, WTI Crude Oil rose 14 cents or 0.2% to trade at $60.50 a barrel. These contracts closed approximately 1.5% higher in the previous session. The current upward movement occurs as the market monitors significant output disruptions in Kazakhstan KZKZ, a key OPEC+ producer.
