The United States government has awarded LOCKHEED MARTIN CORP a $4.7 billion preliminary contract to continue the accelerated production of Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptors. This development follows a seven-year agreement with the U.S. Department of War intended to scale annual production of the interceptors from approximately 600 units to 2,000 units.
