### Graham Secures Republican Nomination Graham defeated five other Republican challengers in the primary to avoid a runoff. His closest opponent, Greenville businessman Mark Lynch, garnered 199,371 votes, followed by Thomas Dismukes with 21,394 votes, Pat Herrmann with 16,081 votes, Calvin Cowen with 13,114 votes, and Darius Mitchell with 9,851 votes. Graham issued a statement thanking voters for their confidence and for rejecting what he described as "garbage" during the campaign.
