Latvia Prime Minister Evika Silina resigned Thursday, triggering a coalition collapse five months before the October general election. The exit follows a security breach where two Ukrainian drones entered Latvian airspace from Russia undetected. Silina came to power in 2023 after the resignation of Krisjanis Karins, also from the centre-right New Unity party.
