The Kremlin described the energy situation in CU as "critical" on February 9, attributing the ongoing difficulties to attempts by the US to "suffocate" the island nation. Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for the executive office, stated that RU is currently in discussions with authorities in Havana to find solutions to the crisis.
