The annual inflation rate in Kenya rose slightly to 4.4% in March, up from 4.3% in the previous month, according to data released by the national statistics office on Tuesday. The marginal increase reflects a slight acceleration in price growth across the East African nation.
On a month-on-month basis, inflation stood at 0.5% in March, compared with a 0.2% rise recorded in February. The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics provided these figures in a statement detailing the latest consumer price index trends.
