Italy to Shield Economy from Middle East Crisis Impacts
Italy is preparing measures to support exporters as energy prices rise. Minister Tajani said the priority is protecting households and the national economy.
Italy is preparing to implement a series of measures to mitigate the economic repercussions of the ongoing crisis involving Iran. Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced on Thursday that the administration is finalizing support for exporters and households as energy prices rise and maritime shipping routes face significant disruptions.
Speaking to parliament, Tajani highlighted that tensions near the Strait of Hormuz are already impacting global markets. The surge in energy costs, reflected in the pricing of Brent Crude Oil, alongside rising insurance premiums for shipping, poses a direct threat to the national economic fabric.
