Israeli Strike Kills Boy in Gaza as Evacuations Resume
A 13-year-old boy died in Beit Lahiya after an Israeli drone strike targeted a group near the armistice line on Thursday. Residents report that the military has resumed issuing night-time evacuation orders ahead of attacks, a practice that had largely stopped after the October ceasefire.
Israel military strikes killed a 13-year-old boy in northern Gaza on Thursday as residents reported renewed evacuation orders. The incident occurred during a drone strike in Beit Lahiya that the military claimed targeted an individual approaching the armistice line. A ceasefire brokered by the United States in October has failed to halt Israeli attacks.
Gaza health officials reported the boy died and others were injured when a drone dropped a grenade. Israel's military stated its inquiry indicated the minor was accompanying a person who may have been attempting to plant an explosive device.
