Iran Supreme Leader names new year resistance economy

In a message marking the start of the Persian New Year, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, designated the upcoming year as one focused on a resistance economy. The declaration, shared via his official Telegram channel on Friday, emphasizes the themes of national unity and national security as pillars for the country's economic strategy moving forward. Beyond economic and domestic policy, the Supreme Leader addressed recent regional tensions and security incidents. Khamenei explicitly stated that neither the Iranian government nor its allied regional forces were responsible for recent attacks targeting Turkey and Oman. According to the statement released on his Telegram channel, the Supreme Leader sought to distance the nation from the recent hostilities: > Attacks against Turkey and Oman were not carried out by Iran or its allied forces.
