Innio Shares Jump 23 Percent in Strong Nasdaq Debut
The German gas engine manufacturer Innio saw its shares climb 23 percent on Thursday as investors look to capitalize on the growing energy needs of AI data centers. The company raised 2.43 billion dollars in an upsized offering that priced at the top end of the expected range.
Innio shares rose 23% to $33.30 during their Nasdaq debut on June 4. The Munich, Germany-based engine maker reached a $25B market value following an upsized $2.43B offering. Investors are pivoting toward physical infrastructure providers to power the electricity-intensive expansion of generative AI.
Principal shareholder AI Alpine sold 90 million shares at $27 each, the top of the marketed range. AI Alpine is co-owned by funds managed by U.S. buyout firm Advent International and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. The stock opened at $31 on June 4.
