The government of Indonesia IDIDannounced on Tuesday the revocation of operating permits for 28 companies operating within the forestry, plantation, and mining sectors. Presidential spokesperson Prasetyo Hadi prasetyo hadiconfirmed during a press conference on January 20, 2026, that the enforcement action involves concessions covering a total area of one million hectares, which is equivalent to approximately 2.47 million acres.
