This figure represents a significant decline from the $34.68 billion deficit recorded in January and came in below the $28.8 billion gap anticipated by economists in a Reuters poll. Merchandise exports for the month rose marginally to $36.61 billion from $36.56 billion in the previous month, while imports saw a sharp reduction, falling to $63.71 billion from $71.24 billion.
