India has officially withdrawn a 50% restriction previously imposed on a key export incentive program known as the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP). The government announced the withdrawal of the cap on Monday, a move intended to provide full relief to exporters regarding various domestic levies.

The RoDTEP scheme serves to reimburse exporters for taxes, duties, and levies at the central, state, and local levels that are not refunded through other mechanisms. These costs are incurred during the manufacturing and distribution of products destined for international markets. By lifting the restriction, the government aims to enhance the competitiveness of Indian exports by ensuring that taxes are not exported along with the goods.
