IEA Proposes Remote Work to Lower Global Oil Demand
The IEA suggests remote work and lower speed limits to cut oil demand. This follows a 400 million barrel stock release to combat rising global energy prices.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) has outlined a series of proposals to help consumers manage rising energy costs, including recommendations for remote work and reduced travel. These measures are designed to alleviate the economic pressure caused by the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, which has significantly contributed to global inflationary concerns.
To mitigate the impact of price spikes in Brent Crude Oil, the IEA's report suggests that governments and businesses adopt strategies such as working from home, lowering highway speed limits by at least 10 kilometers per hour, and opting for alternative transport instead of air travel.
