HSBC HOLDINGS PLC appointed Gautam Anand to lead its global India private banking unit on Wednesday. Anand, a 25-year industry veteran, will manage cross-border services across five international wealth hubs. The move supports HSBC's 2023 expansion into the Indian high-net-worth market to capture rising Asian wealth.
Anand will oversee the global India private banking franchise across India, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. He joined the lender in December 2023 as global coordinator for India, the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. His career includes prior roles at UBS GROUP AG-REG, Credit Suisse, ANZ, and ABN Amro.
