European equity markets climbed for a third consecutive session on Wednesday as a retreat in energy prices and sustained optimism surrounding artificial intelligence provided a lift to investor sentiment. This positive momentum comes as global markets prepare for a series of high-stakes central bank meetings, most notably from the United States Federal Reserve.
Despite ongoing geopolitical volatility in the Middle East, where Israel has intensified military operations and Iran has targeted facilities in the United Arab Emirates, crude oil prices saw a modest decline. The pullback followed an agreement between Iraq and Kurdish authorities to resume oil exports through the Ceyhan terminal in Turkey. Brent crude futures fell to $102.93 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate eased to $94.5, offering relief to inflation-wary investors.
