The labor market in Germany remains under significant pressure as the number of unemployed individuals stayed above the three million mark in February. According to the latest figures from the labor office, 3.07 million people were registered as out of work, representing a slight decrease from the previous month but an increase of 81,000 compared to a year ago. In seasonally adjusted terms, the number of jobless people rose by 1,000 to reach 2.977 million, a figure that was slightly better than the 2,000-person increase anticipated by economists in a Reuters poll.
