German exports fell 2.3 percent in January missing forecasts
German exports dropped by 2.3 percent in January according to official data released on Tuesday. This decline was slightly larger than the forecast 2.0 percent.

Data released on Tuesday by the federal statistics office revealed that exports from Germany experienced a sharper decline than anticipated at the start of the year. Outbound shipments fell by 2.3% in January when compared to the previous month.
This figure exceeded the expectations of economists. A Reuters poll had previously forecasted a more modest decrease of 2.0% for the period.
