The state-run energy firm GAIL (India) Limited has purchased a liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from Oman as India seeks to maintain its domestic supply levels. Trade sources indicate the prompt cargo was acquired through negotiations with a European trader at a fixed price ranging between $17 and $20 per million British thermal units.
