The AION consortium will seek EU funding for a €10 billion ($11.60 billion) data center project planned for France. It aims to secure funding from the €20 billion infrastructure fund the European Union launched in December. The project aims to close the infrastructure gap between Europe and the United States and China.
The consortium includes CAPGEMINI SE, ORANGE, and ATOS SE through its Bull unit. Other members include Iliad, private equity firm Ardian, and utility provider EDF.
