Former Unipec head Simon Chen joins Sino Crown to lead crude oil expansion

Simon Chen joined Singapore-based Sino Crown International in late 2025 to build its crude oil division. He previously led the trading unit of Sinopec.

Prior to this role, Simon Chen, who is also known as Chen Bo, spent more than two decades at Unipec, which serves as the trading vehicle for China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec). He first joined Unipec in the early 1990s and eventually rose to become the company president in 2014. As a career crude oiltrader now in his early 60s, Simon Chenhas extensive experience in the energy markets of China CNCN.
