Flipkart Group CFO steps down ahead of planned India IPO
Flipkart Group CFO Sriram Venkataraman is stepping down as the Walmart-owned firm prepares for an IPO. Ravi Iyer will lead the broader finance organization.
Flipkart, the Indian e-commerce giant owned by Walmart Inc., has announced that its group chief financial officer, Sriram Venkataraman, will step down from his role. This executive transition comes as the firm intensifies its preparations for an initial public offering in India. While the company has not disclosed a specific departure date or the reason for his exit, Venkataraman will remain with the organization during a transition period. He has been with the firm since 2015.
Ravi Iyer, a veteran with over 12 years at the company and the current CFO of its marketplace unit, will take over a broader finance role on a temporary basis. Additionally, the company announced that Nishant Verman, who was involved in the initial acquisition by Walmart, has rejoined as senior vice president for corporate development and partnerships.
