European airlines have formally requested that the European Union delay the implementation of upcoming regulations requiring the use of synthetic green jet fuel, known as eSAF. These mandates, currently scheduled to take effect in 2030, would require carriers to integrate a specific percentage of synthetic fuels into their operations to reduce carbon emissions.
