Manufacturers across the euro zone faced a sharp rise in input costs and significant supply chain disruptions throughout March, as the ongoing conflict involving Iran impacted global logistics networks. These disruptions led to delivery delays and pushed input price inflation to its highest level since October 2022. Rising expenses, particularly for Brent Crude Oil and other energy sources, prompted manufacturers to raise their own selling prices at the fastest rate seen in over three years.
